Anyone else here on 93.5 that MP is dropping to D1?

They have 500+ students but was the smallest of 20 some D2 schools and Vhsl dropped them.

Just another reason why the VHSL should classify on a statewide rather than a regional basis.

WC was D3 at one time. When Gate City made it to the AA State finals I think in 94 they had to play WC at half state. But they had D1 numbers then or so I was told.

William Campbell is in the lower half of Group A in enrollment, so they would still be Division 1 if the VHSL did the divisions on a statewide basis. I agree they should do this, though.
